Leaving Japan. Next destination: Korea |
We
had been treated like royalty and had enjoyed our time in
Misawa. After our great trip into the mountains to Lake
Towada, a night out on the town, and a performance, it was
time to leave for Osan, Korea. Actually, we flew back to
Yakota first. As I stated earlier, all flying was done via
military transport planes. Less than "comfy," but a real
adventure for a bunch of rock n rollers. I don't know if you
are familiar with a C-5 aircraft, but let me assure you that
it is HUGE. So huge that I couldn't even get it all in the
picture using a panoramic camera. Note that the entry into
the rear of the plane is really a stairway on a truck that
was pulled up to the plane. Compare the second picture with
the first and it will give you a good perspective of the
size of this plane.
