As many of you know, when I'm in Texas I almost always
search out a "Papadeaux's" restaurant for the best Louisiana
Cajun food in Texas. Be it red beans and rice, crawfish
etouffee, chicken-seafood-andouille gumbo, or a bakers dozen
of oysters on the half shell; Papadeaux's is the place.
Below: My
breakfast in Houston, 1999. Mmmmm, it beats the heck out of
Fruit Loops. They've got a Papadeaux's in Chicago and
Denver, as well. For those of you who prefer Mexican food,
try Papasita's. They're also owned by the Pappas family and
many times are located right next door to
Papadeaux's.
