Consider the conditions where it happened and DO THE APOLOGY IN FRONT OF ANY PERSONS WHO WERE PRESENT AT THE TIME OF YOUR OFFENSIVE BEHAVIOR. A bit harder to do, but, the sincerity of this approach is undeniable.
