I've been very fortunate in that my home town paper (The Modesto Bee) has always been very supportive and generous over the years regarding my music career. Home is a good thing! My thanks to the Bee staff.

Oh, and regarding the "Roy Rogers movie" thing: It was more like 48 years ago, but who's counting? I remember that for a Saturday matinee you could get into the movies for 3 Pepsi bottle caps. A promo of the time. (My God! How old is this guy, anyway?) I came very close to going out into the audience and personally hugging every single person as a "thank you" for coming to the show. It meant the world to me that friends and neighbors would come see and hear us perform.
